The Erlenmatt district forms the northern end of Basel's city center. Areas that are still inaccessible for the public at the moment will soon be filled with urban life. Cultural, but also commercial interim solutions already now reshape the surroundings. The train station Basel Badischer Bahnhof, a soon-to-be-built shopping center, Basel’s exhibition center and the musical theatre are only a few minutes away. The newly created public park, which does not only make Basel greener but will also connect the Lange Erlen recreation area with the city center, will be the heart of the Erlenmatt district.
Modern, well-equipped apartments are built around the park. The developers have consciously chosen a mixture of living spaces for families, singles and older citizens, divided into different apartment types and sizes and different price segments. Thanks to underground parking garages, motor traffic is kept away from the inner living areas – a great enhancement of living comfort. Current plans provide for the erection of 700 to 800 apartments at the final stage.
